Shake out stations

Shake-out grids are machines using predominantly vertical vibration to separate castings and sand/sand lumps.

They are predominantly used for large piece weights or low quantities. The material is charged by crane. After the process the de-sanded castings are removed by crane. The sand shaken out is recycled in a downstream treatment plant and returned to the process.

Characteristics for shake out grids are:

  • Low operating costs
  • High wear resistance
  • Small footprint / Low overall height
  • High operational reliability
  • Long service lift
  • Rugged design
  • Good value for money

The usable surface of a shake-out grid is up to 40 m² for multiple grids and up to 20 m² for single grids The load-bearing capacity of grid is up to 40 t depending on design.
